A Fourth of July Family Weekend Turned Into Timeless Wall Art
One Summer Weekend, Preserved as Legacy with Lasting Memories
Some of the most meaningful family photographs happen during the busiest moments of the year — when everyone finally slows down just enough to be together.
This multi-generational beach family photography session in Delaware took place on Saturday of Fourth of July weekend — one of the most in-demand weekends of the summer, when families gather for saltwater, sunshine, and that easy, joyful feeling only summer brings.

I first met this family’s matriarch at a local expo while sharing my work and offering headshots.
During our conversation, she shared a dream that stayed with me: creating custom family wall art that would shine a light on the love within her family’s beach home in Ocean City, MD, and across generations.
She wasn’t looking for images to scroll past on a phone — she wanted a framed family portrait that would live on her wall and be felt every single day.

With a tight schedule and multiple generations to coordinate, flexibility was everything. From thoughtful planning to creating a relaxed, welcoming experience, the focus was simple: help everyone feel comfortable, connected, and truly present. The session felt easy, full of laughter, and very them.
“The whole process of working with Michelle was so easy and enjoyable. Her willingness to work with our tight schedule went beyond what was expected. She made each one of us feel comfortable in front of the camera, and the whole family had a great time.” - Dora R.
Today, their coastal family wall art hangs at the heart of their beach home — a daily reminder of togetherness, tradition, and the kind of love that grows deeper with every generation.
This is why I believe so deeply in printed family portraits and custom wall art.
Summer brings families together.
Photographs preserve the moment.
Artwork lets you feel it — every single day.
